1 Speech, 24 Voices [Video]

Photobucket
This is quite impressive.

Jim Meskimen, you probably remember him best from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as both Werner and Professor Mansfield, has released a video of him reciting Clarence's speech from William Shakespeare's Richard III while impersonating 24 different celebrities. I mean, everyone from Christopher Walken to Barack Obama to Robert De Niro. Check it out:
That Morgan Freeman is pretty spot-on at the 2:20 mark.

Well done, Werner.

Osama's Dead...What Next??

Photobucket

The news spread like crazy last night about the death of Osama bin Laden. I have to admit, I was a little happy to think that American's that lost family and loved ones 10 years ago may finally be able to get some closure following such a tragic event. I feel like that's the main takeaway from this. Or at least it should be.

The other thing I thought about was, while this should be a moment of celebration, there is still the threat of possible backlash from al-Qaeda radicals. (Knock on wood) Closure is good but we still need to be focused on the bigger picture, which is ending terrorism in the nation and the world.

As my man Dave said on Twitter: The leader is dead but the ideology is still very much alive.

Obama....What Have You Done Lately???

Photobucket
The recent power shift in the government has Obama critics praising. Of course they're praising, the Republicans now have the House majority and Barack Obama hasn't done ANYTHING in the last two years...or has he?? If you come across one of these anti-Obama characters, please direct them to what is sure to be their new favorite website: whatthefuckhasobamadonesofar.com. Here, they can find out exactly what the fuck he's done so far. Which has been more than Bush did in eight a lot. Definitely a great website.

Shouts to my man @BouierLeFou for the heads up.

One More Reason Why Jay-Z is the Man

Photobucket

Gotta take a late pass on this, but I just came across this today. Who's itinerary looks like this: Dinner at the White House with the Obamas, Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Oprah [among others] and follow it up with breakfast with New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and New Jersey Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov?? Oh yeah, Jay-Z's does. And that's exactly what he did last week.

Boss type shit.

State of the Union '10

Photobucket
President Obama gave his first State of the Union last night and he delivered one of the most dynamic SOTU's to date. His focus during the address were educations, jobs, energy and employment. The speech was both well-delivered and well-written but it also had a number of promises throughout. I hope that we as Americans do our part to help get these goals accomplished mainly because I believe he's the best man for the job. If you missed it, you're in luck; It's on YouTube in it's entirety....or you can just watch it here:
Leave it to Republicans...
Photobucket
And the worst part of the night was the Republican response. They really tried to insult us by surrounding new governor Robert McDonnell with a "diverse" group of "Republicans" consisting of an African American woman, an Asian man, a soccer mom and a man in a military uniform. Could you be more obvious??? #comeonson

Obama time.

A Change Has Come.... Inauguration 09.

Finally, the day is here. Today, January 20, 2009, at 12 noon, Barack Hussein Obama will be become the 44th President of the United States. This is truly a historic and humbling event and it really should be treated as such. Obama being named president shows that anything is possible with hard work and determination. Honestly, I could go on for days telling you about the effect that Barack Obama has had on my life and the lives of those around me, but I'm sure you spent most of MLK Memorial Day hearing a number of people do just that. I plan on spending most the day celebrating the moment with friends and you should do the same.

It's not everyday that we get a Black President. Ow.
