King James...That Is All
Lebron balled tonight but HOW else did you expect him to play in an possible season-ending game?? I'm glad that the Cavs were able to pull this one out and keep their championship hopes alive. More importantly, Lebron is really performing the big stage. Can't be mad at that.
I'm also convinced that if that if the Cavs can win the 'ship this year, then Lebron will stay in Cleveland instead of heading to New York. Why build a team and win a Championship to move to another city and do it all again. But after all....it is just Cleveland.

Aight. Kobe Handled His Business. It's Your Turn Lebron
And I'm not even mad that the fucking Candy Man Lamar Odom had a pretty good game even though I'm starting to really not like him. He even managed to serve up the Birdman. [nh]
And his plats.
Let's go Lebron.

Damn Damn Damn Cavs
Lebron still dropped 41 but Dwight Howard and Rafer Alston were on point last night. I think the Cavs really might have underestimated the Magic going into the series, but now they're seeing how real they are. Can't say that I blame them but they need to step it up before Dwight gets his first shot at the Finals, and not Lebron.
I'm really starting to get pissed. The Magic better not
Don't let me down Lebron.

Lebron shows us again why he's the MVP with 35 points and the game-winning three pointer at the buzzer. Fucking crazy.

Yo, I Really Can't Wait
...because this shit looks hilarious. It seems to be like Dude, Where's My Car? but for an older audience. I even read that since it's directed by the same people that did Old School, there's even gonna be an appearance from this guy. That's worth the price of admission right there.
June 5th.

This Has Gone On Far Too Long...
- The Lakers held on in Game 1 against the Nuggets....but then lost in Game 2.
And while I'm on the subject, where did all these Nuggets fans come from?? I mean, seriously. A lot of you came out of the woodworks but if you've been a fan since day one then:
But chances are, you haven't been.
- The Cavs somehow lost their first game of the entire playoffs to an underdog Magic team.
- Jake Peavy had one foot in Chicago but ended up refusing the trade from the Padres to the White Sox. Oh yeah, then we suffer our worst loss in team history. Fuck. Not a good day for the Sox.

Music of the Moment - Senior Week Edition
So in the spirit of Senior Week, I thought I'd post some college-related music. It's coming from the first rapper Jay-Z signed to his Roc Nation imprint, J.Cole. His music is college related because the North Carolina native was also a 2007 St. John's University graduate and often includes his college days in his music. I heard about him a couple months ago and his mixtape, The Come Up is pretty good. It's actually really good. People are already comparing Cole to Drake but I'm staying away from the comparisons. Even though they have similar suburban, middle-class backgrounds, I just see them as two hot rappers with something to say. You can download his The Come Up here. Check it out. And also peep one of my favorite joints from the mixtape called College Boy. And it's over a Kanye beat. Oww.
It's gonna be dope too. Andyaknowdaaaat.

Don't Believe the [Chicken] Hype...
Who knows what could be behind this nation-wide free chicken campaign??
It might be as bad as the chicken causing everyone who eats it to turn into chicken-craving zombies or something. Who knows?? It's been insane around here. The KFC by my crib had a line of cars more than half a mile down the road. People were even parking their cars on Cascade and walking all the way to KFC to wait in a lobby packed with people. The one by campus had to limit the deal to dark meat and only mashed potatoes. Today at Wal-Mart this dude even tried to sell me his coupons for a dollar apiece since you can't download them anymore. This is wild. I've decided not to take part in this whole free chicken thing. It's weirding me out too much. I might end up on May 20th as the last unzombified person alive!
I mean, stranger things have happened.
Wait, no they haven't. But still.
[Note: And why did it have to be KFC?? Why couldn't Oprah give America free Subway for two weeks?? Hmm...Owwuch.]

Back Like I Never Left/The Season Ends...
My Bulls ended up losing to the Celtics in Game 7 in Boston. Damn. We really played well throughout the series and it sucked to go out like this. Ben Gordon had a big 33 to lead all scorers but it wasn't enough. During the playoffs D.Rose played beyond his years and the Miller/Salmons trade proved to be really big for us. The worst part of the whole thing might be that had we gotten past Boston, we would have had a real chance to beat Orlando in the second round. wtf. I'm disappointed we had to go out like this, but after the greatest series in NBA Playoff history, I can't be too mad.
Oh wait, yeah I can.
Now I don't have to watch any basketball until Kobe vs. Lebron in the Finals. Uh oh.
vs.
I'm crossing my fingers.

Greatest Game Ever?? ...Yeah, I Think So
Did I call this or did I call this??
Last night's Bull/Celtics triple overtime thriller was on of the most entertaining sports events I've ever witnessed. And that's NO hype. I was literally on the edge of my seat from the beginning of the fourth quarter to the last second of the third overtime. Three overtimes though?? I was definitely two Ray Allen three pointers away from having a conniption, but we were able to pull this one out. There were so many big plays from D.Rose, John Salmons, Ben Gordon and everybody, but two big plays really sealed the deal for us. The first big one was Joakim Noah's mean ass dunk on Paul Pierce. Not only did it put us up by 2 with 35 seconds left, but it gave Paul Pierce [aka Mr. Aardvark] his sixth foul. And when I say "dunk on" I mean "murderlize." Just check it out. There are no words:
Holy
Anyway, back to the second huge play from last night. It would have to be the defensive stop that D.Rose put up against Rajon Rondo on the Celtics last real chance to tie up the game. I knew he had it in him. Not only were the Bulls finally able to put the clamps down on Rondo, but hopefully his struggles will continue in Game 7. Check the D:
I'm definitely proud of my Bulls but our job is definitely not over. We've proven that we can not only play with the Celtics, but we can win in Boston. Game 7 should be extra wavy. Seriously. Max B agrees ↓ ↓
