Back. Hopefully For Good.

Photobucket
A lot has changed since I last posted:

  • Lebron got a ring....finally,
  • I've finished 4 of 5 seasons of the greatest show in the history of the world, Friday Night Lights [Full post coming soon] and
  • My sister Alexis ripped her pants when she was raging too hard here in DC. [Love you, Lex!]
All in all, the summer has started off with a bang and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon.

Dallas....Cavs?? Really Cleveland???

Photobucket

Aight Cavs fans, we understand you're a little bitter about Lebron but this is too much. Even though I'm still sick that my Bulls aren't in the Finals, this series will be over in no more than 6.

Sorry Dallas.

Are the Miami Heat in Trouble??

Photobucket
After the Miami Heat lost their 5th straight game last night against the Portland Trail Blazers, a lot of NBA fans are saying the Heat are in trouble. Maybe it's the pressure of living up to the hype has been too much but the Heat just haven't figured it out yet. Even with 38 from Dwyane Wade and 31 from Lebron, the Heat still got the L. What gives?? Are the Miami Heat in trouble??

The short answer is no. Expectations for the Heat were probably too high from the beginning. Plus, you can add that to the fact that Pat Riley should realistically be the head coach of this team anyway. As far as last night's game goes, wack ass Chris Bosh was held to just 7 points! There is one alarming thing about the Heat though, their record against the other top teams in the league:
Photobucket
Pretty bad. But even the Heat's 1-9 record can be misleading when you compare it to Championship-favorite LA Lakers' 2-6 against the other top teams.
Photobucket
Basically, there's no real reason for concern here. The Heat could are still in contention for first place in the East...kind of. Boston's going to hang on for the #1 spot and the Bulls will stay at #2. A third seed for Miami is definitel doable and a good step for a first year together. Give em a break.

Plus, how can you feel sorry for them? Look at their DANCERS.

Oh, and their former dancers.

One Last NFL Post...

Photobucket
Now that the Bears aren't in the running for the Superbowl, I could really care less about how this season ends. So with my final post of the 2010-2011 NFL season, I bring you Brett Favre: What Should I Do?

Even though that was funny as hell, I promise that this is my first and last Brett Favre post.

I'm Back...Oh, and Lebron's Back Too

Photobucket
It's been a long time....blah blah blah. Now that I finally have some sort of stability after starting this job and moving into the new spot, I gotta get back to the BLAWG. Big news of this weekend, besides Morehouse's Homecoming, was the new Rise commercial from Nike and Lebron. Really a dope video and I'm glad to see Lebron not shying away from his decision.

Let's get back to it.

Blawgin that is.

And For Those of You That Joked About Kanye Being at Lebron's Decision...

...he really was there.

Photobucket

So take that, take that.

The Decision...Aftermath

Photobucket
We waited long enough. After weeks and weeks of speculation, we finally know the answer to the question that every sports fan in the world has been waiting to know: David Lee is going to the Golden State Warriors! I'm glad we're not worried about that anymore. But in real news, we all know that Lebron James is now with the Miami Heat. Kind of surprising to some, and completely devastating to others. As a Bulls fan it's hard to not be disappointed, but it's not the worst thing to ever happen to us. But for Cavs fans....well.
Damn.
And with all that being said, the person who possibly took it the worst was the owner of the Cavs, Dan Gilbert. Check out the open letter he wrote for fans. Click for entire letter.
Salt.Tee.

I can understand his anger but c'mon son, you had seven years to get players around Lebron but waited until he was gone to get all passionate about it. For some reason this reminds me of the South Park episode where Cartman made Scott Tenorman cry and he licked his tears. Yea, this episode.
I sure hope Dan Gilbert has someone to lick his tears.
Photobucket
Cartman's got it.

Good luck in Miami, Lebron.

Bulls all day though.

Lebron Sweepstakes....The Final Decision

Photobucket
With today being the Chicago Bulls official day that Lebron will announce his next team, I'm still not Chicago Bulls sure who he'll sign with. I might not even Chicago Bulls be sure where I want him to go. Miami might be the most attractive team Chicago Bulls now that they've signed both DWade and Chris Bosh, but the Bulls have Derrick Rose and now Carlos Boozer. Lebron has the attention of the world Chicago Bulls and his decision will impact the NBA and sports in general for years to come. Can't be mad at setting precedence. If you're not watching tonight at 9, you're buggin. Um, Chicago Bulls.

And for the record, I'm hoping he comes to the Bulls.
Like you didn't see that coming.

Come on Lebron. Make it happen.
Just don't let THIS happen. ↓↓

Decision 2010 is upon us.

NBA Free Agency. What I WANT to Happen

Photobucket

It's no secret...I'm a really big Bulls fan. It's also common knowledge that now that it's July 1, Lebron James and company have the next 10 years of the NBA in the palm of their hands. I'm trying to hope for the best and prepare for the worst, but I'm going to be royally PISSED if we don't get Lebron. Here's a breakdown of what I'm hoping and praying will happen during this summer's free agency:
Photobucket
  • Chicago Bulls
OK, everybody wants Lebron but I actually feel like we're gonna get him. The LBJ/Bosh/Wade to Miami rumors just seem like too much of a long-shot. There's not enough minutes in a game, let alone possessions to let both Lebron and DWade get theirs. I feel like James x Bosh is a more realistic possibility.....even though I'd probably rather take Amare. Wack defense and all.
Photobucket
  • Miami Heat
Since I'm hoping that the holy triumvirate of James/Bosh/Wade isn't going become a reality, the next best thing for Miami is to sign both Wade and Amare Stoudamire. DWade deserves a huge contract that would solidify his stay in Miami and by throwing in Amare in his prime, they would still contend in the East. Makes perfect sense...once Lebron comes to Chicago.
Photobucket
  • This last one....eh
I'm not saying that Carlos Boozer and Dirk are gonna end up playing with each other, I'm just not sure where they're gonna land. I think Dirk could fit will in New Jersey and I think Boozer could fit will in either New York or Miami if Amare doesn't go. Plus, if I had a point guard like Deron Williams, I'd most likely want to stay in Utah. But then again, you gotta go to the best situation and it IS Utah we're talking about...

Other NBA Notes:
I'm basically gonna be on pins and needles until someone signs with someone. Until then, hold tight Bulls fans.

Come on, Lebron.

So THIS Is Who the Cavs Got Murdered By Last Night???

Photobucket
Word, Lebron?? I got you guys winning this whole thing now that the Bulls are out but I'm gonna need more than 15 points on 3-14 shooting. You're the MVP and it's going to take an MVP-type performance to win in Game 6. You can believe that I'll be front row for this joint, popcorn in hand like:
Photobucket
Game 6 in Boston is tomorrow at 8:00 on TNT. Don't miss it.

It might be Lebron's last game as a Cav...

Even as a Kobe Fan, I Laughed......a LOT.

Photobucket
I'm convinced that Trey Kerby is one of the funniest sports writers in all of blogland. Idk where he finds this stuff but he does. Check out this video of a Kobe fan revealing just a little too much of what he feels about the NBA's greatest player not named Lebron.

Pause.

But I'm almost positive you laughed.

This should give Kobe haters some much-needed fuel, but it was worth it.

Apparently the Orlando Magic Don't Give a Fuuuuuck...and Larry Brown Doesn't Like It.

Photobucket
These are the words that Larry Brown had for reporters before last night's playoff game between his Charlotte Bobcats and the Orlando Magic. And THIS ↓↓ is how the Magic warmed up before the game haha
Following that vocal motivation from their coach and that disrespectful warm-up from the Magic, the Bobcats MUST have used it in the game....right???

Well...here's how the game went down:

The jealous for the Bobcats.

Oh well. Bulls game tonight IN Chicago.
Lehgo.

[Note: Vince Carter still got it and this is unrelated but quite hilarious: link.]

Bulls Earn Playoff Spot...Collision Course With King James

Photobucket
So we've done it. By winning our last three games the Bulls were able to secure the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Just imagine how elated I was to see this this morning. ↓↓
Photobucket

Seems harmless right?? Well not completely. We've just set a collision course for the best team in the NBA, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Well damn. But Bulls fans, don't let it get you down. We're 2-2 against the Cavs this year and Lebron only missed...one of them. However far-fetched it might seem, we DO have a chance against the Cavs. Otherwise, why would they play the games?!?! [Insert sarcastic answers here.] Check out the highlights from last night's game against the Charlotte Jordancats and pay close attention to what Brad Miller does at 1:21 or just click here hahaha

Let's do the impossible, Bulls.

At least be nice to Lebron so he considers Chicago for a home next season.
Please.

BEER THAT MAN: Antawn Jamison

Photobucket
Wow, I didn't see this one coming. Pause but I'm talking about this dunk from Antawn Jamison. I really didn't expect this dunk from him and apparently neither was David West. Check it out:

Photobucket

I guess Lebron has rubbed off on Antawn.

Pause again.

The Worst Way to Play Defense by Javier Gonzalez

Photobucket
Chapter One: The Worst Way to Defend a Dunk/Lay-Up

Ever had the dream of making it into the Sportscenter Top 10?? Since completing an alley-oop, shooting a game-winner and sinking 12 threes are so difficult to do, I recommend unsuccessfully defending a dunk or lay-up. It's fun AND easy! Just follow these steps:

1. First thing you have to do it get one of your teammates to turn the ball over.
2. Next, make sure that none of your teammates come past half court to play defense.
[They might actually stop the other team from scoring!]
3. The next thing you need to do is use timing to ensure a midair confrontation with the offensive player. [See Lebron James1.]
4. Make a failed attempt to block the dunk or lay-up. [See Lebron James2.]

And that's it. If you follow these steps you should be guaranteed a spot on the Sportscenter Top 10. For proof, just look at mine from today:
See, dreams DO come true!

Shit's Disgusting. Come on Bulls...Seriously.

Photobucket
I don't know what to say. Seriously, I'm at a loss for words. And that doesn't happen often. We started the week by losing to the "worst team in NBA history" then follow it up by getting DRUG by the Hawks in Atlanta. This makes no sense. We're the third most valuable team in the league and we're still performing like this. We've actually lost our last four games to the Cavs, Raptors, Nets and Hawks. It's embarrassing, really. So after this week of disappointments, I'm continuing my ongoing push to get Lebron to Chicago next year. Why go to the Knicks?? Don't go to sorry ass New Jersey. Come to the historic Chicago Bulls. I mean, either you or Chris Bosh. #kanyeshrug

Once again...this shit's not gonna cut it.
We play the Warriors tonight and I really can't take a 5th straight loss.

Seriously.

Aight Lebron...

Not Bad, Bulls. Not Bad...

Photobucket
The Bulls were FINALLY able to eclipse 100 points as they held off the Kings last night, 101-87 in Sacramento. John Salmons had 23 for Chicago, while Donte Greene dropped 24 to lead all scorers. I still feel like Greene should have gotten a technical foul for that dumb ass haircut, but it didn't happen. The Bulls improved to 6-4 and will visit the Los Angeles Kobe Bryants Lakers Thursday night. Highlights from last night's game:
Good win, Bulls.

I'm still shouting "LBJ/2010" though. #kanyeshrug
