Sorry for the rant.
But not really.

Game 1 of the series against Boston is on and we're looking pretty good. D.Rose is hitting his shots and distributing the ball well [15 and 6 in the first half.] Ben Gordon is on point like always. These KG-less Celtics are definitely beatable. Oww.

Midterms and Homecoming got me off my awr game, but I'm back.
Aight,
-LSU and Ohio State lost.
-Texas (1) and Texas Tech (5) play this weekend.
-The NBA kicked off the regular season last night and my boys (Kobe, Lebron and D.Rose) had solid games....but the highlight of the night was Paul Pierce fucking crying at the ring ceremony.
-The Phillies ended up winning the World Series last night. [But...who cares??]
That's pretty much for sports until the weekend and I'm still pretty bummed that LSU is out of both the SEC and NCAA title races.....but at least we're not Auburn...
A lot has happened in this last month so let's recap:
-Barack Obama was able to slide past Hillary and recieve the Democratic nomination. Yab.
-The Lakers Kobe ended up losing to the Celtics...and Shaq tried to rap rapped about it.

Finally.
The match-up that we hoped for is going to happen: Lakers/Celtics in the Finals. Any other year I would be happy to go with KG, Truth and Jesus to win it because they're all more than deserving, but....not against The Lakers Kobe. I'm goin Lakers in 6. Let's go.

Yeah, fell behind on the last couple days.
The Lakers won a big Game 4 in San Antonio to take a commanding 3-1 lead over the Spurs as they head back to LA for the elimination game. This was a huge road win as the Spurs have never come back from a 3-1 disadvantage to win a playoff series. Kobe dropped 28 and 10 against Timmy's 29 and 17. Derek Fisher's "foul" against Brent Barry was a good no-call that didn't cost the Lakers the game even after poor execution at the end of the game. I'm definitely looking for LA to end the series tonight at home.
Kobefest 08 continues.
[Note: Timmy will be making this same face after Game 5 tonight haha]
Meanwhile...Boston defeated Detroit last night to take a 3-2 lead in the series. Ray Ray came back after struggling with 29 big points, KG had 33 and Kendrick Perkins surprised everyone by stacking a double-double in the first half. The Pistons are making it hard as hell to cheer for them and I've officially lost interest in the Eastern Conference until the Bulls make their pick in the draft. Yup.

Man I've never been a Pistons fan [because I hate them] but ever since the Celtics beat the Cavs Lebron last round, I have been hoping they would get beat in the East. They won the first game against Detroit, but after Detroit beat them in game two in Boston, things were looking good for the Pistons.
