Although Christmas has passed, I still pretty much consider December 15th - January 3th as the "holiday season." With that being said, here's a late Christmas gift from the Oddfuture crew. Hey, better late than never, right??

I gotta get a late pass on this but still....it's dope. Kinda. I'm not sure who waved the white flag first, but I don't really care either way. G.O.O.D. x Dipset. Ariiite.
A G.O.O.D. Music Christmas Compilation??? I'm wit it.
My guys at work really think I'm hyping the dopeness of the upcoming video for Monster off the latest Kanye album. Mannnn, when will they learn?? I realize this has been out for more than a week, I'm basically only posting these shots from the video just to get them as excited as I am.
I honestly don't listen to enough Arcade Fire. If you fall in the same boat, at least you can see the video for their latest joint The Suburbs. The video even has somewhat of a message to it. Check it out:
The controversial/hard to understand video consists of clips from the Spike Jonze project, Scenes From the Suburbs, release date TBD.
I know...it's been pretty much a week and a half since I last posted anything on the blog. Work's been crazy, life's been crazy, everything's just been crazy. By now, you're probably looking at me like:
And for good reason. But before you give me your worst, just know that I'm back and constant posting is my goal. the blog's back. Show happiness.
OK, real quick post/shot at Cam Newton. And just for the record, I'm actually pulling for Cam and Auburn vs. Oregon but I couldn't resist posting the latest .gif image from the legendary LSU Freek. Check out this one:
People to watch for: Gene Chizik, Urban Meyer and....some preacher guy.
Funny as shit.
Baltimore for a week. I swear to get back on this blogging shit when I'm back. Unh.
I know LSU is a long shot for the National Championship. I know this. But there's still games to be played...so you're sayin there's still a chance?????
I mean, it's a long shot but definitely still a possibility. All I need for my Tigers to make it to the big dance are any combination of the following:
With all this Cam Newton speculation, not to mention the best current college football coach in Nick Saban and the reigning National Champion at HOME...it's just gonna be too much for AU to keep up with.
This is a long shot. A real long shot. But I need it. The only thing going for Nevada is that they're in the Top 20 and playing at home. But they don't really stand a chance.
I actually feel like this could happen. I mean, it's a rivalry game that O-State has had on their radar all season. Also, they're obviously gonna play up for it, they have nothing to lose and they'll be at home. I would actually put money on it.
So I know I'm gonna be leaning heavily on the football gods. Again, I know this. But I really feel like this could put us in the National Championship against TCU without even playing in the SEC Championship.
To everyone who called, texted, tweeted, emailed, facebooked and even MySpaced [even though I wouldn't have received or let alone checked those] to wish me a Happy Birthday, Thank You. I'm not a member of the shotclock era. November 13th, wuddup???
I'm a couple days late due to being busy at work but HOW BOUT THEM TIGERS??? Saturday night in Baton Rouge we were able to knock off our bitter rival the Alabama Crimson Tide 24-21, giving us our marquee win of the year and ruining the Tide's chance to repeat as National Champions.
This is pretty much what happened:
The play of the game in my opinion was this reverse on 4th & 1 in the fourth quarter:
Yea u right. Check out the other highlights:
The win puts us at the mercy of Auburn because we need for them to lose twice in order for us to have a shot at the SEC Championship and consequently a shot at the National Championship. It's definitely a long shot but it's also light years away from Les Miles being on the hot seat. Not too bad.
But what might be bad is Les Miles' latest eating habit...eating grass.
Les Miles. A guy who eats grass and occasionally loses track of time. But hey man, whatever it takes. Whatever it fucking takes.
Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis are starring in an upcoming movie that covers something we've all [more or less] come across in our lives, friends with benefits. From the red band trailer it seems pretty dope and I'm finally starting to get convinced about Justin Timberlake being a serious actor. On the other hand, I've been stuck on Mila Kunis ever since I saw her AMAZINGscene with Zoe Saldana in After Sex. mmmmMMPH!! Check out the trailer for Friends With Benefits, coming July 22nd:
Yea, I know, July 22nd is like half a year away but still...I had to tell somebody about it! haha
By now we've all heard Charlie Villanueva's accusations that Kevin Garnett called him a "cancer patient" during a recent Celtics/Pistons game. First off, I don't condone any statements that are insensitive to the struggle that people with cancer go through. I have family members that have struggled with the disease and it's nothing to take lightly. Secondly, Garnett did release a statement saying that his words were twisted and he actually said Villanueva was "cancerous to his team and the league."
Now something just ain't right. I played sports growing up, I've been in the heat of battle and I've even said/done things during the moment but I refuse to believe that KG used the choice of words contained in his statement. Like seriously, it's just not something you would say going up for a rebound. But at the same time, Charlie....COME ON SON. You broke both Man Code and Athlete Code by publicly commenting about something that was or wasn't said during battle. If Garnett did call him a cancer patient, he was undoubtedly wrong, especially with Villanueva's condition but that's something you should really handle with him one-on-one.
This should not have been national news. Period. KG's still my man and we'll probably never know what was/wasn't said.
The recent power shift in the government has Obama critics praising. Of course they're praising, the Republicans now have the House majority and Barack Obama hasn't done ANYTHING in the last two years...or has he?? If you come across one of these anti-Obama characters, please direct them to what is sure to be their new favorite website: whatthefuckhasobamadonesofar.com. Here, they can find out exactly what the fuck he's done so far. Which has been more than Bush did in eight a lot. Definitely a great website.
When I came across Mac Miller earlier this year, I was already pretty late. Upon discovery, it didn't take long to notice how young this kid was but it also didn't take long to tell he was dope. He kinda fits in the whole Curren$y/Wiz/Asher Roth mold of weed-smoking fornicators. I know a bunch of people that can relate to that. Check out the latest I've heard from him, Trippin' Out.
Lazers finally has a release date. It will be a great day...and that's not just because the 8th just happens to also be my beautiful mother's birthday. Lupe fans [myself included] have been waiting for this album for literally years. I'm hype. This song is apparently on the album and it features a pretty dope Modest Mouse sample. I think I hear some Miri Ben-Ari in there too.
N.E.R.D. dropped their new album, Nothing yesterday and it. is. DOPE. After being underwhelmed with Hot N' Fun, this new joint is flawless. Check out the new video for Hypnotize U. Pause this shit if you wanna, it's on some ill N.E.R.D. shit.
Kinda makes me wish it was't 35 degrees in DC these days. Damn Winter.
The last 6 months have arguably been some of the busiest and most trying, although most successful months of my life. And for that, I'm grateful. A new city, new job, new crib, everything. Totally blessed and really excited with everything. With that being said, it's time to get back to business. The business is blogging and business is....slow. Well it has been. I'm turning it around today. With so many big things going on in my life, it's only right. So, I'm back.
It's been a long time....blah blah blah. Now that I finally have some sort of stability after starting this job and moving into the new spot, I gotta get back to the BLAWG. Big news of this weekend, besides Morehouse's Homecoming, was the new Rise commercial from Nike and Lebron. Really a dope video and I'm glad to see Lebron not shying away from his decision.
I'm pretty excited about new MCR, but this new music has been a little, um....different. I'll withhold judgement until I hear some more from the album. For now, here's their latest joint, Na Na Na.
Not super dope, but just for super dopeness, the Ghost of You video. THIS is the MCR I'm hoping for.
For the first time in my football career, as an athlete or a fan, I disagree with this statement. We ended this weekend's game against Tennessee with more points than the Volunteers, but we still lost. Just in case you missed the craziest ending I've ever seen in a football game:
Wow.
I really don't know what to say. We're at 5-0 and undefeated but we could easily be 3-2, if not worse. I really hope that Jordan Jefferson can regain his starting spot and that our defense can keep us in games because Florida's gonna be tough this weekend.
But I can't REALLY complain. We're 5-0, ranked 12th and 9th and in first place in the SEC West. Besides that, Saturday's crowd of 92,932 was the fifth largest in school history. We get some continuity on offense and remain undefeated and...
Aight....I tried to pick the least pause worthy pick of Chris Brown. It wasn't easy.
But this remix to Deuces is pretty damn dope. Drake, T.I., Ye, Fabolous and Andre 3000. Just the best guys for remixes for the last 10 years or so. Mad decent. I apologize in advance for the edited version.
Chris Brown, Drake, T.I., Kanye West, Fabolous & Andre 3000 - Deuces Remix
University of Tennessee receiver Gerald Jones was quoted as saying this about LSU's [long shot] Heisman-hopeful, Patrick Peterson:
"I watched film on them for two hours (Monday) because I was so eager. I am so ready for No. 7. I am ready for him... To be honest, I think a lot of people fear him because he’s so big. He’s 6-2, 220. He’s a pretty good athlete. He has his weaknesses, too. He’s not Superman. I’m going to give him my all, and it’s going to be a battle come Saturday."
Well. All this coming from a guy that's missed the last three games with an injury?? Has he not been watching Patrick Peterson all season?? Might get ugly for the guy.
Also, Patrick Peterson is currently #1 in the Fan vote for the Heisman. Help vote him in here!
It's crazy what you find on the internet. This morning I came across these early videos of a young Dave Chappelle getting started in the comedy business. It's wild to see how far he's gotten with his craft. The first set of videos was from an old performance on Caroline's on Broadway back in 1990. The second group come from a 1993 appearance on Comic Justice. What a difference three years makes. Still funny as shit nonetheless:
In preparation for this weekend's showdown with #3 Boise State, the coaching staff of #24 Oregon State has decided to paint their practice field blue to resemble the Broncos' playing field. Wait, what??
I mean, it seems like a good idea at first but is this REALLY going to prepare you for a team that's averaged 500+ yards of offense per game, scored 42 points per game, allowed only 18 points per game and has a starting quarterback with a 28-1 record at home??
Dope shit from Ski Beatz dropping tomorrow. You should know him from producing tracks from Jay's Reasonable Doubt and Vol. 1 as well as the majority of Curren$y's Pilot Talk. Dopeness is sure to follow. Not to mention the teaser is another ill video from Creative Control:
In the latest spot for NBA 2K11, Derrick Rose, Andre Iguodala, Josh Smith, Russell Westbrook and Rajon Rondo debate MJ's Greatest Moments. Damn I can't wait for this game.
"Can't eat sushi in Utah, brother--landlocked."
Goofy commercial, epic game. Just come out already.
First off, shouts to the Bears. After last weeks lossclose game win the Lions, not many people thought we would hang with the Cowboys yesterday. And we won. One of the main reasons we won was this amazing one-handed catch courtesy of Devin Hester:
Oooh, that's nasty. [Wayne voice]
But the defense really played well as did Jay Cutler. The Cowboys have to be nervous now after going 0-2. Superbowl, what Superbowl?? Wade Phillips is definitely showing sadness today.
The other play that caught my attention was the insane one-hander from Randy Moss versus the Jets:
The ONLY reason I'm putting the Hester catch over Moss' is because we won our game....but that's fair right???
One other thing, I'm not sure if Vick is for real about being cool with being Kolb's back up but I AM glad he balled out against Detroit yesterday. I hope he gets to keep the starting spot.
Saints/Niners tonight. Hopefully we have a good good. Don't bet on it though.
I can't lie. When I first heard Gucci Mane back on So Icey way back when, I never thought he'd still be making relevant music in 2010. I was wrong. His latest joint brings together the unlikely combination of Gucci, Pharrell Williams and Nicki Minaj. Tell me you saw this one coming because I didn't. The song came out really dope though. Maybe I just like it because Nicki avoids all the voice changes. Check it out:

Jersey rapper Marty McFly has an upcoming mixtape due in October. Check out the trailer and one of my favorite tracks from him. Shouts to Jinx for putting me on way back at Morehouse.
