Music of the Moment - January 7, 2009

Finally, the video from Does It Offend You, Yeah? that I've been waiting for. Dawn of the Dead is the fifth single from the group's debut album, and also one of my favorite songs from 2008. Since the release of their first joint, the group has blown up, with songs appearing in numerous TV shows and video games. The band was also voted onto the Best Alternative music list of 2008 by iTunes USA. In this video, zombies have taken over the town and people are pretty much wylin everywhere. The bass line for this joint is siiiick. Check it out.

Music of the Moment - May 22, 2008

These last couple of years I've been listening to a larger spectrum of music in an attempt to broaden my knowledge of music beyond Hip Hop. In comes Does It Offend You, Yeah?, a British electro-rock band from Reading. To me they sound like a mix between Daft Punk, Bloc Party and Justice. Their versatility and overall sound set them apart from other bands I'm listening to right now. Their debut just dropped in America and it's definitely worth a listen.
