Foot Fist Way.

Photobucket
Go watch this joint.

Like, now. It's basically Kenny Powers x Red from Pineapple Express as a crazy Tae Kwon Do instructor. Indie film, but funny as shit. Check the trailer:
Honestly, how can you top this??
Photobucket
Don't worry....I'll wait.

Definitely can't wait until Your Highness drops.

Kid Cudi - REVOFEV [Live]

Photobucket
Live from the Bape store in NYC, Cudi performs his new joint, REVOFEV off of Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager. The title of the song is short for Revolution of Evolution and it's definitely the unjealous. Shouts to VEVO for doing something besides making me wait extra long to watch YouTube videos.

Summer Songs: Sublime - Caress Me Down

Photobucket
Aight. Summer Song #4 and it's another joint from arguably one of my favorite bands of all time, Sublime. This is one of their lesser-played songs, but it's still a summer classic in my book. It's off of the band's self-titled 1996 album and the song is called Caress Me Down. Classic Sublime shit.

Damn, I just realized........summer's almost over.

I Got a [Drunk] Feeling...

Photobucket
During some late night video perusing, my boy Chris and I found a pretty funny video that displays a night that I'm sure a lot of my boys have been through...myself included. The only bad thing is that it's to the tune of I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas. And even with how much I hate the "new version" of Black Eyed Peas, this shit was dope. I can't believe I was more than half a year late on finding this.

Yea, we've all been there.

And if you haven't been there, get there. It's Friday.

...it's actually 43 days until kickoff but Danny McCray was the man last year.

Can't wait.

Summer Songs: Jadakiss feat. Kanye West - Gettin It In [2004]

Photobucket
More Summer songs. This one really doesn't have anything to do with summer but it pairs up two of my favorite rappers and I've been listening to it most of the summer. It's a collab from Jadakiss and Kanye West off of Kiss' 2004 album Kiss of Death entitled Gettin It In. Off the top of my head, it's one of my favorite funny verses from Kanye. Check it out:

We need more collabs like this.

Oh yea, and Good Ass Job.

Ronnie Brewer is NOT the Devil...

Photobucket
...but he is now officially a Bull. [Yea, I'm a few days removed from blogging...so what?!] I think he was a really good pick up that can add some depth to the the two-guard position that we really need. Plus, I'm just happy that the guy that did THIS is on our team now.

It's still tough to watch.

But even still, Boozer, Korver, and now Brewer. Wow. Who would have known that we'd get three players this season from one of the teams Bulls fans have dissed since this happened:
Glad there's no hard feelings Jazz Front Office!

Well, I'm excited. I hope other Bulls fans are excited. And I KNOW Tom Thibodeau is excited.

Come on September 4th.

Movie Alert: It's Kind of a Funny Story with Zach Galifianakis

Photobucket
New Zach Galifianakis movie. And that's a very good thing. The movie is called
It's Kind of a Funny Story and it's based on the book of the same title. It's about a teenage boy who becomes suicidal and as a result, checks himself into a mental hospital. From the preview alone, it seems like it's gonna be a funny one. Check it out:
And not to mention how funny Zach G is, one the snook note, Zoƫ Kravitz is gonna be in it. Ain't mad at that.

Women I Need to Marry: Mel B

Photobucket
First off, I'm not a Spice Girls fan but I do know who Mel B is...and so should you. No need for words, sometimes just pictures are enough.

Summer Songs: Kid Cudi x Bethany Cosentino x Rostam Batmanglij - All Summer

Photobucket

New Cudder. [I STILL never get tired of saying that.] This is a promotional joint from Converse, of all companies. And it's dope as shit. It features vocals from Bethany Cosentino, one half of the duo Best Coast and drums from Rostam Batmanglij from Vampire Weekend. The title says enough about it being the perfect summer song but after one listen I could tell it'll be in my heavy rotation all the way through September. Well done, Converse.

Penny Hardaway: Don't Call It a Comeback...Even Though You Probably Should

Don't look now but reports have surfaced that former NBA star, and one of my all-time favorite players, Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway is attempting another comeback to the league. And if you think for two seconds, you should be able to figure out which team he's thinking about....the Miami Heat. Yea, that's the same thing I thought. It makes sense for Penny to want return to Miami to join one of the most hyped teams in NBA history in an attempt to finally get a ring. I get that. But how would this help the Heat?? The last time I saw Penny Hardaway he looked like an overweight version of Chris Tucker x Montell Jordan. Sure, he'll play for the league minimum but will he really contribute?? I actually hope so. Injuries kept him from ever becoming one of the true greats and this might give him a chance to redeem that...or maybe not. I'm just hoping this leads to some new MVPuppets x Lil Penny spots.

We'll see.

Curren$y - Pilot Talk...Yea.

Photobucket
Today's the day. Curren$y's finally dropping his third solo album, Pilot Talk today. It's his first release on Dame Dash's newly re-released Roc-a-fella Records. I'm glad it's not a digital download this time. The album is produced solely by Ski Beatz with the exception of Roasted which was produced by Monsta and Breakfast which was co-produced by Ski and fellow Blackroc member Mos Def. Features include Snoop Dogg, Mos, Big Krit, Mikey Rocks, Jay Electronica, Nesby Phelps, Devin the Dude and Stalley. I'm coppin today, you should too. Here are a few of the videos for the album and if these are any indication of what the album is like, it should be pretty dope. Only thing is....no Wiz feature?? Oh aight.

My Lateness Appalls Me....Jordan's 2K11 Cover + More

Photobucket
We've known for awhile that the Greatest Player of All-Time, Michael Jordan, would be gracing the cover of the 2011 installment of the Greatest Basketball Video Game Series of all time, the 2K Series. What we didn't know, or at least I didn't know, was how dope the cover would be. I was expecting a recycled pic of his dunk from the free throw line or maybe even the infamous shrug from the Trailblazers game or shit, maybe even one of Jordan with his Hitler stache. But instead they hit us with this:
Photobucket
Pretty dope. Straight to the point but better than what I was expecting. And with trailers like these, I'm hype as shit.

Yea.
October 5, 2010.
I'm coppin.

And For Those of You That Joked About Kanye Being at Lebron's Decision...

...he really was there.

Photobucket

So take that, take that.

The Decision...Aftermath

Photobucket
We waited long enough. After weeks and weeks of speculation, we finally know the answer to the question that every sports fan in the world has been waiting to know: David Lee is going to the Golden State Warriors! I'm glad we're not worried about that anymore. But in real news, we all know that Lebron James is now with the Miami Heat. Kind of surprising to some, and completely devastating to others. As a Bulls fan it's hard to not be disappointed, but it's not the worst thing to ever happen to us. But for Cavs fans....well.
Damn.
And with all that being said, the person who possibly took it the worst was the owner of the Cavs, Dan Gilbert. Check out the open letter he wrote for fans. Click for entire letter.
Salt.Tee.

I can understand his anger but c'mon son, you had seven years to get players around Lebron but waited until he was gone to get all passionate about it. For some reason this reminds me of the South Park episode where Cartman made Scott Tenorman cry and he licked his tears. Yea, this episode.
I sure hope Dan Gilbert has someone to lick his tears.
Photobucket
Cartman's got it.

Good luck in Miami, Lebron.

Bulls all day though.

Music [Video] of the Moment - Dom Kennedy - 1997

Photobucket
Dope video from Dom Kennedy. It's actually my favorite joint from the From the Westside With Love mixtape, entitled 1997. Won't be long for Dom to blow up.

Word.

Lebron Sweepstakes....The Final Decision

Photobucket
With today being the Chicago Bulls official day that Lebron will announce his next team, I'm still not Chicago Bulls sure who he'll sign with. I might not even Chicago Bulls be sure where I want him to go. Miami might be the most attractive team Chicago Bulls now that they've signed both DWade and Chris Bosh, but the Bulls have Derrick Rose and now Carlos Boozer. Lebron has the attention of the world Chicago Bulls and his decision will impact the NBA and sports in general for years to come. Can't be mad at setting precedence. If you're not watching tonight at 9, you're buggin. Um, Chicago Bulls.

And for the record, I'm hoping he comes to the Bulls.
Like you didn't see that coming.

Come on Lebron. Make it happen.
Just don't let THIS happen. ↓↓

Decision 2010 is upon us.

Random Funniness from the Chris Rock Show

Photobucket
The Chris Rock Show was undoubtedly one of my favorite shows of all time. It was basically Chris Rock's stand-up mixed with an early version of the Chappelle's Show. Pretty dope right?? Well I was watching the Best Of DVD the other day and I have to post the funniest stuff from what I saw. There are far more funny parts on the DVDs but these were epic to say the least.

The Chris Mullin Show

Notes from the Chris Mullin skit:
  • the guest line-up starts with "Tonight on the bitch"
  • the show was referred to as "the no-look pass to laughter"
  • the theme music says "The more Mullin we come across, the more Mullin we see"
Chris Rock Show, you are sorely missed.

NBA Free Agency. What I WANT to Happen

Photobucket

It's no secret...I'm a really big Bulls fan. It's also common knowledge that now that it's July 1, Lebron James and company have the next 10 years of the NBA in the palm of their hands. I'm trying to hope for the best and prepare for the worst, but I'm going to be royally PISSED if we don't get Lebron. Here's a breakdown of what I'm hoping and praying will happen during this summer's free agency:
Photobucket
  • Chicago Bulls
OK, everybody wants Lebron but I actually feel like we're gonna get him. The LBJ/Bosh/Wade to Miami rumors just seem like too much of a long-shot. There's not enough minutes in a game, let alone possessions to let both Lebron and DWade get theirs. I feel like James x Bosh is a more realistic possibility.....even though I'd probably rather take Amare. Wack defense and all.
Photobucket
  • Miami Heat
Since I'm hoping that the holy triumvirate of James/Bosh/Wade isn't going become a reality, the next best thing for Miami is to sign both Wade and Amare Stoudamire. DWade deserves a huge contract that would solidify his stay in Miami and by throwing in Amare in his prime, they would still contend in the East. Makes perfect sense...once Lebron comes to Chicago.
Photobucket
  • This last one....eh
I'm not saying that Carlos Boozer and Dirk are gonna end up playing with each other, I'm just not sure where they're gonna land. I think Dirk could fit will in New Jersey and I think Boozer could fit will in either New York or Miami if Amare doesn't go. Plus, if I had a point guard like Deron Williams, I'd most likely want to stay in Utah. But then again, you gotta go to the best situation and it IS Utah we're talking about...

Other NBA Notes:
I'm basically gonna be on pins and needles until someone signs with someone. Until then, hold tight Bulls fans.

Come on, Lebron.

Music of the Moment - July 1, 2010

Photobucket
New Cudi. I never get tire of saying that. This joint is featuring my favorite artist, Mr. Kanye West. I'm hoping that this song makes it onto Man on the Moon II. I mean, let's hope so. And I get a late pass because I was at work all day. Check out Erase Me featuring Kanye West.
