Today In Music History: Cam'ron feat. Ma$e - Horse and Carriage [4/13/98]

 photo IMG_6795_zpsc2a9b60e.jpg
15 years ago there were about three things I was sure about: Bulls basketball, chicken quesadillas from Taco Bell and Cam'ron music. It was on this day, 15 years ago, that Cam'ron and Ma$e changed my life forever by dropping the single Horse and Carriage. This was the first single from Cam's debut album Confessions of Fire and also the first of many classic Cam'ron songs/videos. There's zero chance you don't remember this:
I hope that made your day. And for good measure, here's the remix. [I hope the remix doesn't ruin your day. It featured Silkk the Shocker, Charli Baltimore and Wyclef so, uh, good luck with that.]

Throwback Music of the Moment - April 26, 2004

I probably couldn't even tell you the first time I heard Kenna. All I can say is that he was dope and I wanted to hear more. One time when I was up in Maryland visiting my boy Mookie and Freetime was pretty much all we played. One of the best things about Kenna is his production. Not only does he do a majority of it himself, he also works closely with Chad Hugo from the Neptunes. You know that's a good look. This song/video were off of his 2003 album, New Sacred Cow. The video tells a pretty interesting story but the catch is that it's shot from basically the knee down. Great idea, great song and great video. Come to think of it, I might have already blogged about this joint haha. Check out Freetime from Kenna:
