The Mash-Up that I posted for yesterday MotM got me in the mood for more mashes and remixes so when I heard a remix from one of my favorite bands, Kings of Leon, I had to post it. It's a remix of Knocked Up from Lykke Li, a Swedish singer with a lot of covers under her belt. Her debut dropped last February and she's been featured on numerous albums and songs since then. She's also on the new N.A.S.A. single Gifted with Kanye West and Santogold. She's definitely making good music and I wish I would have found out about her earlier. Owww.

Wtf Kanye...??

So my roommate told me about Kanye's mohawk/fro/mullet concoction that he's sporting nowadays and I had to check it for myself. Now I usually agree blindly with all things Kanye/Jay/Kobe/Lebron, but this one was too much. Come on Kanye...
I am not feeling this hair and it's damn near impossible to defend him on this one. As soon as I saw it I did this:

Music of the Moment - January 22, 2009 [Mash-Up]
So I still haven't seen Notorious but I've heard pretty good things about it. With the resurgence of B.I.G.'s music and just talk about Bad Boy period, I've come across a lot of re-released music and even a lot of remixes and mash-ups of Big's music. One of my favorites has to be the remix of the CLASSIC "Party & Bullshit." It's a mash-up between and Peter, Bjorn and John's new single, Nothing to Worry About. It might sound like it's about to be a little bit goofy, and it is, but the joint's pretty tough. And it actually fits. Check it out.

A Change Has Come.... Inauguration 09.
Finally, the day is here. Today, January 20, 2009, at 12 noon, Barack Hussein Obama will be become the 44th President of the United States. This is truly a historic and humbling event and it really should be treated as such. Obama being named president shows that anything is possible with hard work and determination. Honestly, I could go on for days telling you about the effect that Barack Obama has had on my life and the lives of those around me, but I'm sure you spent most of MLK Memorial Day hearing a number of people do just that. I plan on spending most the day celebrating the moment with friends and you should do the same.
It's not everyday that we get a Black President. Ow.

Word Lebron?? Word??
So apparently Lebron's "big" announcement for 1.18.09 isn't that he's decided to release a rap album. It's that he's going to play professional football...for fake. One commercial leads to another and it's just some dumb shit for State Farm. Low key, the commercial's not that bad. I guess I was just hoping for a real announcement. Whatever, it's TV.
[Note: Damn. Cavs and Lakers play on Monday @ 7. Not sure who I'll be rooting for, but it should be a good one. Owwwwww.]

Finally, the 100th Post...and the Bulls win. Oww.
It's been about eight months or so since I decided to start asamp was right and definitely didn't think I'd be keeping up with it like I have been. Oh well, it's been fun.
I would think that I'd have more to say but I'm gonna leave this post with a commercial that mad people saw this week.
[Note: Shouts to Matt and Aus for getting me to blog about it.]
Apparently, Kobe sells Ankle Insurance during the off-season...

Ow.
