This afternoon, while taking a break from parole violations and mentoring the chirrens, Gucci Mane released So Icey 2, the first song from the upcoming album/mixtape, Trap House 3, due May 21. I can't lie. When I first heard Gucci Mane back on So Icey way back when, I never thought he'd still be making relevant music in 2010. I was wrong. His latest joint brings together the unlikely combination of Gucci, Pharrell Williams and Nicki Minaj. Tell me you saw this one coming because I didn't. The song came out really dope though. Maybe I just like it because Nicki avoids all the voice changes. Check it out:

Owwie. Cinco de Mayo went stupid, fruity, futuristic so I had to follow-up with some equally dope music. And surprise, it's from Kid Cudi. If you're not down with him yet, you're buggin. His debut is definitely on my list of Most Anticipated Releases of 09. Check out this joint from his latest mixtape, Dat Kid From Cleveland called Rollin' feat. Jackie Chain. And yes, it's a Gucci sample. Can't beat that.
