Dom Kennedy - Never [Prod. by the Futuristiks]

Today's the official first day of Summer, so of course we’re getting some new Dom Kennedy. It’s called Never, it’s produced by the Futuristiks and it’s cold. The rhyme scheme hasn’t really changed much—and that’s a good thing. This is definitely going to get a bunch of spins between all this Yeezus and Born Sinner. Summer’s officially here, guys.
Dom’s next album, Get Home Safely is due this Summer.

ScHoolboy Q feat. Kendrick Lamar | Collard Greens

photo 89dfdf93-f47e-490e-9b0e-803ccffa03a0_zpsda178e0d.jpgThis morning, ScHoolboy Q dropped some new heat from Oxymoron and this one features TDE lablemate Kendrick Lamar. Honestly, the combination of ScHoolboy and Kendrick hasn't let us down yet and this song is no different. Now all we need is an actual Oxymoron release date, maybe some cover art and just some more overall album info. Yeah, that should do it. Check out Collard Greens feat. Kendrick Lamar:

Oxymoron is due later this year on TDE/Interscope Records.

Shouts to Neque for the heads up!

New Cole. Right on time for the birthday, too. Apparently, this is the first single from the upcoming album, Born Sinner, due January 28th.

Earl Sweatshirt - Chum [MP3 + Video]

Music-Earl-Sweatshirt-Chum-01
New Sweatshirt. And it couldn’t be better timing. Chum reveals a different side of Earl as he's reflecting on major life events and touching on returning to music while barely taking pauses to breathe. The lyrics are complex yet simple and quite introspective. But any long-time Earl Sweatshirt/Odd Future follower can tell you those are staples of Earl’s music. The Christian Rich beat doesn't hurt, either. Take a listen. I’m actually pretty excited to hear what’s up next for Doris.

[Note: I first heard this on The Eargazm. Dope site, btw.]

Van She - Changes [MP3 + Download]

Photobucket
Van She is one of many bands that I didn't start listening to until a few years after they reached the peak of their popularity. I almost loafed. If it wasn't for me checking samples on Crystal Castles' first album, I probably would've never found em. Funny how samples work. It turns out that Crystal Castles sampled Van She on one of my favorite songs of theirs, Vanished. [Get it...Van She...Vanished?...alright.] You have to listen closely to get the sample, but it's there.

Anyway, the point of all this is to show you the song Changes which is my favorite track off of Van She's debut album V. It even has a little bit of a Phoenix-y sound around the hook. Check it out.

Also check out the song that started it all, Sex City.
