To All The Packers Fans Out There...

Photobucket

....and I mean that.

So...about this NFC Championship.

Photobucket
Look at that picture. There's definitely gonna be a whole lotta that going on tomorrow afternoon. I'm quite aware about how the Packers played last week against Atlanta but still, our defense is playing insane and our offense is finally clicking after a full season under Mike Martz' system. The Bears have only been this good one other time since I've been alive, so I'm confident we can get it done. Final Score: Bears 27, Slackers: 17. Unh.

Underdogs by 4?? Word, I'll take it.

Sunday's Best Featuring Bears/Cowboys & Jets/Pats

Photobucket
First off, shouts to the Bears. After last weeks loss close game win the Lions, not many people thought we would hang with the Cowboys yesterday. And we won. One of the main reasons we won was this amazing one-handed catch courtesy of Devin Hester:

Oooh, that's nasty. [Wayne voice]

But the defense really played well as did Jay Cutler. The Cowboys have to be nervous now after going 0-2. Superbowl, what Superbowl?? Wade Phillips is definitely showing sadness today.

The other play that caught my attention was the insane one-hander from Randy Moss versus the Jets:

The ONLY reason I'm putting the Hester catch over Moss' is because we won our game....but that's fair right???

One other thing, I'm not sure if Vick is for real about being cool with being Kolb's back up but I AM glad he balled out against Detroit yesterday. I hope he gets to keep the starting spot.

Saints/Niners tonight. Hopefully we have a good good.
Don't bet on it though.

So What?? The Bears Still Won!

Photobucket
Yeah I know...it was a struggle. And yeah, I also know it was against the turrible Lions. And yeah, I ALSO know that that probably would have been called a catch in most games...but not this one. In case you don't know what "catch" I'm talking about, here you go:
Bullet dodged. I mean, take it as you will, but people are saying it was the right call. I like Calvin Johnson, I like Ndamukong Suh. But I'm a Bears fan. And where I'm from, a win is a win is a...guess what, WIN.
Hey Lions fans:

[Note: Coming soon is my post about my first ever Redskins/Cowboys game in DC. Wild time.]

Westbrook Released Too?!

Photobucket
A day after LaDainian Tomlinson was released from the Chargers, veteran Eagles running back Brian Westbrook has been cut by his longtime team. I'm not sure what his future is going to look like but I'm sure he'll find another team. It's kind of crazy that two of the league's best running backs over the last decade are both looking for new teams. Best luck to Brian Westbrook.

[Note: Bears front office...Do something. I'm SAYIN.]

R.I.P. Gaines Adams

Photobucket
Chicago Bears defensive end Gaines Adams passed away this morning at the age of 26. After an accomplished collegiate career at Clemson, Adams was drafted by the Buccaneers with the fourth overall pick in the 2007 draft. He was then traded to the Chicago Bears on October 19, 2009. An autopsy revealed that Adams suffered from an enlarged heart which led to cardiac arrest. His family members were unaware that he suffered from any serious medical conditions. His death was sudden and tragic and my prayers go out to his family. Not only was Gaines Adams a good football player, but he was a good person on and off the field. He's most famous for this play against Wake Forest back during his time at Clemson.
Rest in Peace.

I've Had Enough. This Really Has to Stop.

Photobucket
I really can't have another sports weekend like this past weekend.

First, LSU goes and loses to Ole Miss. Jealous'd.
Then, the Bears lost to the Eagles in Chicago. Jealous'd2.
And then, to round things out, the Bulls go to Portland and get embarrassed by the Blazers. Jealous'd3.

This really can't happen again. I'm tired of looking like this when I watch SportsCenter:

Music of the Moment - November 12, 2009

Photobucket
Gotta make this one pretty quick. Headed to Tin Lizzy's with @martEMCfly, @KxG_215 and this nigga Rhodan, I mean @Pbbt. Anyway, The Hood Internet is a duo from Chicago that specializes in mash-ups of popular music. Sounds pretty basic, right?? It's not. They take hip hop verses with rock and alternative music and pair them up...and vice versa. They've been doing this since 2007 and none of their mixtapes have let me down yet. So far they have four Hood Internet Mixtapes, a Hood Internet vs. Chicago Mixtape featuring all Chicago artists and even a few with individual artists [Lykke Li and The Pack. I know, random.] I decided to post two of my favorite Kanye mash-ups. Enjoy. Their mixtapes are free and can be downloaded here.
