The Hangover Part 3 [Trailer]

 photo 6f8385af-d681-4bb3-8156-bd3041ddd374_zpscd09fe02.jpg
Everyone's favorite Wolfpack [no disrespect] is back for the third and final installment of the Hangover triolgy. Chow's alive? Black Doug's back? And is that....John Goodman? I can't really tell what to expect but I hope it's at least better than Part 2. Check out the trailer.

The Hangover Part III is set for a May 24th release.

Dark Knight Rises [Trailer #3]

Photobucket
Dark Knight Rises, Ted, Prometheus, The Bourne Leagacy, Men In Black 3 [major stretch], Total Recall and G.I. Joe 2. And I'm sure I missed a couple. It's gonna be a wild ass movie summer.

Project X [Trailer]

Photobucket
Yo....

This looks insane. I know where I'll be on March 2nd.
At first I was mad that this didn't come out when I was 17 but then after thinking about it, it's good that this wasn't out then. If it had come out when I was 17 I would have probably said:
Photobucket
Timing is everything.

Evidently, Dark Knight Rises Is About To Be Amazing

Photobucket
Yeesh. The build up for this movie is insane. And this trailer released yesterday will only add to the hype. It's gonna be a hot summer if Chris Nolan has anything to do with it.

Chronicle [Movie Trailer]

Photobucket

Again, I'll attribute lateness due to my recent lack of consistent posting. This movie, Chronicle looks doper than dope. It's the story of a group of high school friends that gain superpowers after making a mysterious discovery. I'm mad excited even though the movie doesn't come out until....February 3rd. Peep the trailer and try not to get hype.

Yea, dopeness.

[Throwback] Music of the Moment: Kanye West - Livin' a Movie

Photobucket
Movie buffs should enjoy this.

It's no secret that I'm a huge Kanye West fan. The thing that you need to understand is that I'm a really huge Kanye West fan. I'd go as far as saying that I have nearly [if not all] of his released music--underground tracks included. With all that being said, below is one of my favorite throwback Kanye songs from way back on The Late Mixtape. The idea behind it is simple: an entire song based off movie titles. Sounds simple...and it actually really is.

Kanye West - Livin' a Movie

Nothing like some good, throwback Kanye.

Note: Complete Movie List: Edward Scissorhands, What Lies Beneath, The Preacher's Wife, Sleepy Hollow, Apollo 13, Ghost, Hollow Man, Friday 13th Ghost (again), Backdraft, Almost Famous, Lord of the Rings, The Shining, Do the Right Thing, Don't Say a Word, Sleepers, Jeepers Creepers, Clockers, Baller Blockers, Absolute Power, 9 1/2 Weeks, Rush Hour, The Cell, Life, Juice, Mo' Money and The Roc. And I probably missed a few.

Jonah Hill in The Sitter [Trailer/NSFW]

Photobucket
Aight cool, a new Jonah Hill movie. Can't be mad at that. It's called The Sitter and to me it looks like a cross between Daddy Day Care, Pineapple Express and 30 Minutes or Less...even though I've only seen one of those movies. I figured that this would hold us over until Allen Gregory comes out but it looks like the movie won't be out until December. Either way, should be pretty dope.

Definitely, I repeat, definitely some NSFW language in this joint fyi...

Speaking of 30 Minutes or Less, I know where I'll be Friday night. Unh.

Friends With Benefits [Trailer]

Photobucket
Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis are starring in an upcoming movie that covers something we've all [more or less] come across in our lives, friends with benefits. From the red band trailer it seems pretty dope and I'm finally starting to get convinced about Justin Timberlake being a serious actor. On the other hand, I've been stuck on Mila Kunis ever since I saw her AMAZING scene with Zoe Saldana in After Sex. mmmmMMPH!! Check out the trailer for Friends With Benefits, coming July 22nd:
Yea, I know, July 22nd is like half a year away but still...I had to tell somebody about it! haha

Foot Fist Way.

Photobucket
Go watch this joint.

Like, now. It's basically Kenny Powers x Red from Pineapple Express as a crazy Tae Kwon Do instructor. Indie film, but funny as shit. Check the trailer:
Honestly, how can you top this??
Photobucket
Don't worry....I'll wait.

Definitely can't wait until Your Highness drops.

Movie Alert: It's Kind of a Funny Story with Zach Galifianakis

Photobucket
New Zach Galifianakis movie. And that's a very good thing. The movie is called
It's Kind of a Funny Story and it's based on the book of the same title. It's about a teenage boy who becomes suicidal and as a result, checks himself into a mental hospital. From the preview alone, it seems like it's gonna be a funny one. Check it out:
And not to mention how funny Zach G is, one the snook note, Zoë Kravitz is gonna be in it. Ain't mad at that.

Must See Movies....that NOBODY Talks About.

Photobucket
First off, Fanboys is funny as hell. Point blank. If you've ever laughed at one of the other movies I've recommended, or even if you haven't, you still need to check this out. It's set in 1998 about a group of five friends and their quest to see Star Wars Episode 1: The Attack of the Phantom Menace. Does that sound nerdy enough for you?? The thing is, the movie's not set for release for another six months and one of the Fanboys is battling with cancer. So what do they do? Wait six months and go see it as friends?? Hell no. They decide to go through with something they've planned since middle school: break into Skywalker Ranch and steal a rough cut of the movie. Gangsta. The movie stars Sam Huntington [Not Another Teen Movie], Jay Baruchel [Knocked Up/Tropic Thunder] and the snooks of all snooks, Kristen Bell [Forgetting Sarah Marshall]. Just an overall surprisingly hilarious movie with cameos from Seth Rogen [two roles], Craig Robinson, Danny McBride, Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith and Will Forte. Just those names alone make it worth it. But don't take my word for it, check out this scene with one of Seth Rogen's cameos:
Yea, it's true. Seth Rogen has been in every comedy produced since 2004. And I'm not mad.
Photobucket
Now on to Fifty Pills. This movie is about a college student that, upon returning to school from a terrible trip visiting home, finds out that his roommate threw a crazy party while he was away. The party was so crazy that he ended up losing his scholarship and is on the verge of having to quit school. His only hope in raising the money for tuition in time is selling the fifty pills of ecstasy that his asshole of a roommate gave him. It's starring relatively unknown actor Lou Taylor Pucci [Believe it or not, he was in Fanboys] and once again, the snooks, KRISTEN BELL. Another hilarious movie with cameos from Michael Peña [Crash/Lions for Lambs], Donnell Rawlings [Chappelle's Show] and Eddie Kaye Thomas [Finch from American Pie.] Check out this scene with Donnell Rawlings and Eddie Kaye Thomas. Pure comedy:
Don't sleep on Fanboys and Fifty Pills on some of those College Football-less Saturday afternoons. Plus, Kristen Bell is in both of em.

You won't regret it.

Music of the Moment - October 21, 2009

Photobucket
This is probably the most strange band I've ever posted on here but I still gotta take another Late Pass. Australian band Empire of the Sun has been around since 2007 and I'm just now hearing their music. Damn shame. My boys @MrDuckworth87 and Web put me onto them a couple days ago while we were filming some scenes for their new movie and the first thing they told me was that the band was really, um....eccentric. I was pretty skeptical after seeing the cover art for their album. [Yea, it looks like Star Wars meets Chronicles of Narnia, but the music is dope.] They sound a lot like one of my favorite bands, MGMT, with similar vocals but pretty different music. They're kind of like Animal Collective...but even MORE strange. I wanted to post their video for Walking on a Dream but it was even more fucking weird than this one. At least check out the video for We Are the People, it's weird but you should like it. If you don't, I can understand.
Not too bad.

I hope.

LSU Had a Bye-Week...

Photobucket
...so I took one too.

College Football was kind of boring and predictable this weekend anyway. I ended up watching Varsity Blues instead. #kanyeshrug.

I'll be back with the football news next weekend but in the meantime.....GO BEARS.

Music of the Moment - September 23, 2009

Photobucket
More hot shit.
Well, kinda.

Even though I'm really getting tired of Drake over-saturating the music game, I still love this song. But it's more because of Ye and Eminem's verses. But whatever. Not even Lil Wayne could ruin this joint. The video for Forever from the soundtrack of Lebron James' movie, More Than a Game that I blogged about last semester. The video is pretty dope and like LMo said, I'm surprised that they were able to get all four of these dudes to get together for the video. I guess Hype Williams can make it happen.

And if you need a reminder of what the movie is about, it's pretty much wrapped up with this:

"I didn't go to college, sorry."

[Note: And did you peep how Drake was shot from the neck up most of the time. #niggawassittinhisassdown.] Ariiiite.

Jeremy Piven is Still the Man

Photobucket
This will be the last, and maybe the best, of a long list of great summer movies. Jeremy Piven, everybody's favorite agent/asshole stars in The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard as insane used-car liquidator Don Ready. This shit looks hilarious. Other actors in the movie include Will Farrell, Ving Rhames, Ed Helms (The Hangover/The Office), Ken Jeong (The Hangover/Role Models) and Noreen DeWulf. (Who's bad by the way.) It's even directed by former Chappelle's Show writer/director Neal Brennan. Check the trailer:

The only bad thing about this joint is that it doesn't come out until August 14th. Damn.

I guess that gives me enough time to see The Hangover 10 times.
Owwww.

Damn Eminem.

Photobucket
I didn't even watch the MTV Movie Awards last night. Just didn't have much interest in it I guess, plus I know they'll be playing it every day for the next two weeks. Anyway, the one thing I did see was the whole Eminem/Brüno fiasco. First off, if you don't know who Brüno is, you're late as shit. He's the latest character created by Sacha Baren Cohen [Borat] and his movie is coming out on July 10. I first heard about it from my boy @RASTruly over at Blomedy. Check it:
Looks gay fucking hilarious.

So the whole problem stirred up after Eminem's performance. He was back in the crowd watching the show when Brüno flew in to present an award. Then out of nowhere, he just landed ass-up [nh] on top of Eminem. If you can, watch:
I'm almost positive that Eminem knew NOTHING about the whole thing and was mad as shit. For good reason. I've seen 8 Mile, he can't act that well.

But oh well, I still got Relapse on repeat and I'm going to see Brüno on opening night.

So I guess everyone wins.
Except Eminem's face.

Yo, I Really Can't Wait

...because this shit looks hilarious. It seems to be like Dude, Where's My Car? but for an older audience. I even read that since it's directed by the same people that did Old School, there's even gonna be an appearance from this guy. That's worth the price of admission right there.

June 5th.
Owwwww.

Aight...ONE more Lebron video...

Photobucket
...and this is the best one yet.

Apparently there's a movie coming out about Lebron and his childhood teammates during their journey from grade school, to St. Vincent-St. Mary's to Lebron getting into the NBA. And it looks dope. The movie is called More Than a Game and it hits select cities in October. I'm just hoping that whatever city I'm in gets it, or I'll be making a road trip. Oww.

Should be dope.
[Note: And if you're not watching the Cavs/Pistons beatdown game tonight at 8, I have only one thing to say to you: this.

Movie To Watch For

One of my favorite young actors, Shia LaBeouf, is teaming up with Disturbia director D.J. Caruso to bring us Eagle Eye. According to wikipedia, Jerry Shaw [LaBeouf] returns home after the mysterious death of his successful twin brother. He and a single mother, Rachel Holloman [Michelle Monaghan] find out that they have been framed as terrorists, and they are coerced into becoming members of a cell tasked to assassinate a politician. It's messed up that we have to wait til September to see this. Just check the preview:

Siiiiiick.

The film also stars Billy Bob Thornton, Rosario Dawson and Michael Chiklis.
Tell a friend to tell a friend.
